Thanks to the varied habitats in the region, southern Arizona is home to large variety of trees. In this class, we explore the diversity of the Grand Canyon State’s trees, from the mesquite and ironwood of desert valleys to the aspen and Ponderosa pine of the Sky Island mountain ranges. With it being the Holiday Season, we will pay special attention to the region’s conifers. We will also examine things to consider when identifying trees.

Online class participants will receive a Zoom link for the live class two hours before the class begins.

All online classes are recorded and participants receive a video replay that is available for two weeks after the date of the class.
